SE&CR class D1 4-4-0 No 31739 departs from London Bridge with the 12.44pm van train to Tonbridge on April 24, 1959.

Robert Waterman says "If going to Tonbridge the headcode would indicate via Redhill. However, I have seen a photo of what I believe to be this train shortly after the phase 1 Kent Coast electrification completion headed by a class 71 electric loco displaying headcoad 07 indicating Ramsgate via Chislehurst and Chatham. The loco headcode displayed here would also indicate this routing as well!!"

Perhaps somebody might know which?
