Ex-South Eastern & Chatham Railway Wainwright 'D' class 4-4-0 No. 31075. Built by Dubs & Co. of Glasgow in March 1903 as SE&CR No. 75 and withdrawn in December 1956.

There are many contenders for the 'most elegant British 4-4-0' prize. Although 31075, sitting on Redhill MPD's turntable in May 1956 is not at its sparkling best, its classic lines have all the grace that its designer intended.
