With plated over central cab doors Gateshead allocated BR class 37 No 37 058 with a coal train for Consett passing South Pelaw Jct on 30 September 1974. The class 31 is assisting the Gateshead steam crane and heading a component recovery train and sits where the bankers used to wait.
