NBR J35 0-6-0 No 64485 on shed at Ferryhill on 10 July 1958.
It has two interesting features, firstly yhr front numberplate casting is crudely chipped back on the corner to clear the door hinge and there is a home made 'shelf' wedged behind the handrail by the cab window for the driver to rest on, I wonder if this was because of the restricted view when running tender first due to the tender cab?
