SECR 516 1920c Shorncliffe

SE&CR E class 4-4-0 No 516 passes through Shorncliffe station with an up express for Victoria in c1920.

Robert Waterman adds the details "I believe this is a boat train to Victoria (I don't think boat trains served Charing Cross after WW1). If my recollection is correct this headcode was used prior to the early thirties whence it was changed to a disc over each buffer (and remained so until the end of steam), this headcode of course only applied to the Tonbridge/Orpington route ".
