BLS/SLS Scottish Rambler Railtour. Terminus of the Bankfoot Light Railway built under light railway orders granted in 1898 and 1903, this 3-mile line ran from Strathord Junction to Bankfoot. It opened for goods on 5 March 1906, and to passengers on 15 May, the company being vested in the Caledonian Railway with effect from 1 August 1909 by an Act of 16 August. Passenger closure came on 13 April 1931, and services ceased completely on 7 September 1964. The station building survived intact until the 1990's but the site is now a housing estate. There are several photos on the web of 56347 at Bankfoot on this day but 54465 does not appear in any of them - did it actually work up the branch from Strathord as listed on Six Bells website?

Confirmation that 56347 worked up the Strathord to Bankfoot branch alone comes from the SLS Journal:-“Monday 23 April started from Perth with a trip over the Bankfoot branch for which 56347 was piloted up to Strathord by 54465”
