Despite looking relatively clean No 56235’s fire would never be lit again -confirmed by the broken glass of the cab window. The picture was taken in October 1959 at Kingmoor and official withdrawal came the following month. The Jinty just behind did not fare much better, being taken out of service in March 1960.
