Transferred from Derby in May 1962 this was one of the last Midland Railway Jinties, built at Vulcan Foundry in August 1902. No.47257 was withdrawn from Wellingborough in October 1964. Look closely to see the differences from the LMS standard version - the two most noticeable are the smokebox and the rounded edge to the front of the tanks.
