1013 1951-04 Chacewater
GWR County 4-6-0 No 1013 County of Dorset at Chacewater with a Plymouth to Penzance stopping train in April 1951.
Peter Kerslake says "The fireman of 1013 is looking back for the "Right Away" as his nicely turned out steed heads a local stopping service down through the Duchy of Cornwall to Penzance.
From its shedplate 1013 appears to be allocated to 83F, which was Truro, the "Counties" being regular workhorses in Cornwall during the 'fifties and that depot having a number of "the class on its books well into the following years, with Penzance also housing several of the class as well.
Later years however, took 1013 northwards to Shrewsbury where, in 1956 it was one of six of the class based there, regularly working from Shrewsbury to Newton Abbot on the "North to West" passenger duties."
