1014 1956-11-17 Bath Spa

Bristol Bath Road shed's 1014 , " County of Glamorgan " isn't far from home here as she waits at Bath Spa on an ex Works " Running In " turn , fresh from Swindon and complete with double chimney and in new colours , possibly in lined green in which the class were repainted in their later years, replacing the unlined black.
An indication of the versatility of the " Counties " was provided by the fact that in the mid 'fifties the thirty members of the class were distributed between no less than eight Motive Power Depots on the Western Region, extending from Penzance in the far West to Shrewsbury and Neyland , in comparison with the thirty " Kings" which were allocated to but three Depots.
I think there's a problem here with the steam heating between the tender and the leading coach!
