I wish that I knew what Reporting Number " 036 " indicated , but sadly my records do not help , and the Western Region loved frequently changing their earlier codes which had lasted for so long in the past at about the date of this view , but I suspect that this is a Bristol bound working from Paddington , as 1014 was allocated to Bristol Bath Road at about that time , being one of their six " Counties " there.
1014 " County of Glamorgan " didn't make it into preservation , but this engine is being revived using parts from 7927 " Willington Hall " and " 8F " 48518 , and is presently in an advanced stage of construction at Didcot so all is not lost!
