A shot of 1014 , " County of Glamorgan" taken in its early day. The engine has its nameplates in position which would indicate a date post March 1948 when it received its name.
This is platform one at Paddington, and 1014 will live again hopefully before too long as a newly built example of the class thanks to the Great Western Society , none of the " Counties " having been saved for preservation following the withdrawal of the last one in November 1964
