WPR and NCB rub shoulders in the yard at Methil. In the foreground is Giesl ejector fitted NCB No 8 (AB 1296/12) and to the rear, WPR No 17. Beyond is Methil West signal box and a high rise block of flats being erected. (These flats have alrteady been demolished!) Note the radio aerial at the left forward corner of No 8’s cab roof.
When the WPR closed down, No 8 found further work at Polkemmet Colliery in the Lothians.
