Temporarily stored at Wellesley Colliery in June 1968, No 18 (AB 3809/1954) waits for work in the yard at Methil to begin. It was then in more or less continuous use until March 1970 but by May 1974 this engine was lying in the trackless yard of Thomas Muir & Co, scrap merchants, Rothes and Kirkaldy.
