It’s March 1958 and both of these engines have just been withdrawn from service, both latterly residents of Lowestoft (32C) and probably travelled together to Stratford for scrapping.
‘Goodbye old girl’ scrawled on the 2-4-2s tank suggests the shed staff had a soft spot for this old timer.
