It took not a little detective work to determine that this pastoral view was taken at Common Lane foot crossing, near Rossington in South Yorkshire. Ex-LNER Gresley 'O2' class 63964 heads south with an up mixed freight in 1951. It was a product of Doncaster in June 1942 and was withdrawn in Sept. 1963.
