GWR Crane 16 1940s Old Oak Common

Ransomes and Rapier 45 ton crane No 16, later BR ADW16 and finally ADRR95211. It was delivered 13.8.1940, withdrawn 3/1982 and scrapped 9/1986 at Swindon. It was allocated to OOC for the whole of its life. It, and 5 others (3 x GW, 2 SR) were built for the government under the Air Raid Precaution preparations and cost, including the match truck, £9,425. The three other GW cranes have all been preserved. The, match truck is No 16.
