6840 1956c Teignmouth
On the 8.5am Cardiff-Kingswear 6840' Hazeley Grange' was an 86G Pontyool Road locomotive at this time and , as such , would have been a'Rare Bird' this far West , seen here approaching Teignmouth station. The figure'7" on the Reporting Number indicates that her train is , as would be expected for a Welsh engine , from South Wales , but she has clearly not been taken off at Bristol Temple Meads but has been required to work past Bristol and will almost certainly now come off this working at Newton Abbot , probably with not much coal left in her tender!
