Grand shot of a former NE class J21 workplace, 36A Carr Loco MPD, looking south. Writes Tony Roberts

Starting from the left side of the picture:

White posts along Ten Pound Walk the road(?) from Hyde Park through the allotments to the Shed. House profile building in far distance was used by the Town Moor Golf Club for many years.

The Cinder Track ran parallel to the railway tracks at the far side of the loco up behind the photographer to the bottom of Kelham Street and was a pedestrian only entry from Doncaster town centre and Balby Road.

The telegraph wires continued to the right to King's Cross and all stations between - count them if you've an hour to spare.

The buildings to the rear of the loco and van are, nearest and smallest The Cycle Racks. The larger building just behind was the new Canteen, Rest Room, Shower and Toilet Block.
