The extensive Brookside Sidings at Guide Bridge form the backdrop to this busy 1951 view of smartly presented (possibly 'running-in') ex-GCR Robinson 'Pom-Pom' ('J11') class 0-6-0 No. 64421. It had been built locally at Gorton in Sept. 1907 as GCR No. 306 and would be withdrawn in Dec. 1959. Even the coal looks good!
