BR 4MT 4-6-0 No 75020 arrives at Portmadoc with The North Wales Radio Land Cruise train going south along the Cambrian Coast line.

Peter Kerslake says "The two road brick built locomotive shed at Portmadoc in the background must have posed a problem with noise and smoke for the nearby houses, but in those days it would have been a normal hazard.
The original Cambrian Railways depot was replaced in 1907 by the more substantial one seen here which continued in use until the summer of 1963 and in its later years was home to ten or so locomotives, mainly rostered to freight duties, but the depot had no turntable.
The hut at the platform end and adjacent to the water column housed a signal frame and the token equipment for the single line section to Criccieth and was used by the signalman in the adjacent signal box whilst the extensive freight yards are on the extreme left and just visible in the distance."
