Arrived Patricroft, new in December 1951. Moved to Llandudno Junction by October 1953. The front portion of the coupling rods is still fluted, the reat plain section. Engines were originally fitted with fluted rods but these suffered fatigue and failed so were often replaced. This is the only instance I have found of mixed rods.
