Peter Kerslake says "In company with a couple of my fellow enthusiasts I had travelled up to Exeter from Plymouth , rather unusually, via the Southern North Dartmoor line this day, the 2nd May 1956 so we must have been intending to have a "Southern Day" as here we are at Exmouth Junction , with 31635 and 30323 making an attractive subject for my camera"
