Ex-South Eastern & Chatham Railway Wainwright 'H' class 0-4-4 Tank No. 31518. Built at Ashford in July 1909 as SE&CR No. 518 and withdrawn in January 1964.
This is a superb portrait of a locomotive at its birthplace in Ashford, Kent. The photograph was taken in August 1954 and judging by its superb condition, is recently ex-works.
