No doubt other enthusiasts will find the similarities between Richard Maunsell's 'N', 'N1', 'U' and 'U1' Moguls easy to differentiate at a glance - I don't! Nevertheless, this fine series of 2-6-0s did much sterling work for both the Southern Railway and BR. In lovely evening light and approaching Dorking Town station (now Dorking West), is 'N' 31866 with an interesting mixed freight consist. Saturday 28th October 1961.
