NBR J35 0-6-0 No 64480 allocated to Dumfermline at the time on a coal train in c1952. The loaded coal train is leaving the colliery exchange sidings about a mile to the east of Lochgelly station, heading for Thornton Junction. The bing and headgear in the distance belong to the Nellie Pit formerly owned by the Lochgelly Colliery Company which were reached by a line ducking under the main line from the exchange sidings which were to the south of the line.
