Wonderful dilapidation at Wakefield Kirkgate. The cast iron bracket has failed and a huge timber, supported on baulks pinned together has been substituted All due to war damage I presume. From later photos the solution would be to just take to roof down and leave the platform building exposed to the elements - perhaps it got some Bitumen on its flat roof!
