Ex-LMS Fowler '4P' class 2-6-4 Tank No. 42346. Built at Derby in May 1929 as LMS No. 2346 and withdrawn in Sept. 1960. The Fowler '4P 2-6-4 Tanks were the first in a lineage that included Stanier, Fairburn and Riddles versions. This perfectly composed 1959 photograph at Chelford in Cheshire sees smart-looking 42346 at speed with a five coach local.
