A first class portrait of Ex-LMS Fowler '4P' Tank No. 42400 taken at Derby MPD in March 1956. These excellent locomotives were the first in a long line of LMS and BR 2-6-4 Tanks that began in December 1927 and only concluded in March 1957 when the last 'Standard 4 Tank' rolled out of Brighton Works. 42400 was built at Derby in Sept. 1933 as LMS No. 2400 and was withdrawn in Jan. 1965.
