Ex-LNER Gresley 'V2' class 2-6-2 No. 60818. Built at Darlington in Nov. 1937 as LNER No. 4789 and withdrawn in August 1966.

An unusual angle of view at Aberdeen's Ferryhill MPD in July 1965 catches a gently overflowing tender top-up. The inspired and unique use of the 'V2s' 2-6-2 wheel arrangement on a tender locomotive, was to result in one of Britain's finest mixed traffic locomotives.
