Ex-LNER Gresley 'V2' class 2-6-2 No. 60876. Built at Doncaster in May 1940 as LNER No. 4847 and withdrawn in October 1965.

The BR lined black livery was perhaps inappropriate to be applied to a class that usually wore apple green and latterly brunswick green liveries. Indeed 'Green Arrow' itself was thus treated at one time. Anyway, this is the treatment that the paintshop at 'The Plant' have given 60876 on release to traffic, seen here at Doncaster Carr MPD in May 1956 and someone nearby is obviously 'Happy'!
