A visit to Darlington Works could usually find a freshly painted and glistening locomotive to delight the onlooker. In this instance it's immaculate ex-LNER Gresley V2 No. 60802 that is basking in the August 1955 sunshine during a fifteen day overhaul. 60802 was built at Doncaster in Oct. 1936 as LNER No. 4773 and was withdrawn in Mar. 1964.
