Having been coaled and watered at York MPD, 60929 and 60124 are in tandem heading towards York Station to pick up their respective trains. They are both commendably clean for 1964 and show that there was still an element of pride in their appearance.

Ex-LNER Gresley 'V2' 2-6-2 No. 60929 and BR Peppercorn 'A1' 4-6-2 No. 60124 'Kenilworth' were both built at Doncaster in June 1941 (as LNER No. 3656) and March 1949 respectively. They were withdrawn in June 1965 (60929) and March 1966 (60124).
