Naming ceremonies were excellent PR occasions for Britain's railways and received wide publicity attracting considerable crowds. The LNER has arranged for King's Cross to be the venue for LNER No. 4844, a brand new Gresley 'V2' to receive its 'Coldstreamer' nameplate on Tuesday 20th June 1939. Major General Sir Cecil Pereira KCB is admiring the workmanship after performing the unveiling ceremony.
