LNER 'Diagram 97' Sentinel steam railcar No. 2219 'New Fly'. Built by Sentinel of Shrewsbury in September 1929 and withdrawn in June 1946.

With a backdrop of one of York South MPD's three roundhouses, and very neatly stacked piles of whitewashed coal (for theft prevention), a newly delivered 'New Fly' awaits its first duties. Another railcar can just be glimpsed on the left.
