Peter Kerslake says " Who would have thought here in 1933 that 4820 would have such a lengthy history ahead of it, spending its early years working in Wales, then moving to Exeter and later Hereford before being preserved following its withdrawal from Gloucester in 1964 and thereafter working the Dart Valley Railway from Buckfastleigh in Devon. "
