Off 52D Tweedmouth. These locos were used for the trains running to and from Alnwick which was the main use made of these locos around that time. The train is heading into Newcastle through Manors (East) on, I think, the Up Main Line. This makes sense when you look at the curvature of the platform and the footbridge in the background. The Up Main platform here was much longer than the little-used Down Main.
