Ex-Nort Eastern Railway Worsdell 'R' (LNER 'D20') class 4-4-0 No. 2106. Built at Gateshead in March 1901 as NER No. 2106 and withdrawn in April 1951 as BR. No. 62365. The cabbages appear to be well-nurtured by a plentiful supply of loco ash and smoke! Heading south from York c. 1924, this 'local train behind 2106 has just passed the race excusion platforms at Holgate. It is probably heading for Selby.
