73115 1965-05-30 Basingstoke MPD

BR Riddles 'Standard 5' class 4-6-0 No. 73115. Built at Doncaster in November 1956 and withdrawn in March 1967.

Once carrying an inherited Arthurian name 'King Pellinore', that piece of railwayana has disappeared from 73115. It's May 1965 at Basingstoke MPD in Hampshire and a smart looking 34103 'Calstock' is in the adjacent road. On the left beyond a GWR 4-6-0, are the ruins of the Chapel of the Holy Ghost, built in the 1200s.
