Ex-WD Riddles 2-8-0 No. 90651. Built by Vulcan Foundry in July 1944 as WD No. 78689 and withdrawn in October 1966.

There are at least 100 freight wagons in this superb July 1966 panorama captured By Eric Bentley's camera at Rose Grove Sidings. Poor old 90651 has but four months of life remaining and is waiting for a departure path. Meanwhile, an unidentified 'Black 5' breezes by with the 12:30 Warrington to Caernarvon (ID 24) passenger train and what appears to be another 'Black 5' is leaving with a freight in the distance. Oh for a time machine!
