This 1950s scene sees Gresley 'A4' 60012 'Commonwealth of Australia' passes non-stop through York with the up 'Elizabethan' from Edinburgh Waverley to King's Cross. The barrow features typical platform denizens of the era with duffle bag, sandals and (probably) a Kia Ora drink with straw. Once emptied, the latter will be deposited in a litter bin as the tidy platform attests.
