90164 1964-06-06 Skelton Junction

A lenghty train of track panels requires the very powerful double-headed combo of Riddles WD No. 90164 piloting ex-LMS Stanier 8F No. 48302. They are taking the ex-L&NWR route to Warrington at Skelton Junction, Timperley, Cheshire in June 1964 and must have made an impressive sight!

90164 was built by NBL of Glasgow in July 1943 as WD No. 77180. 43802 was built at Crewe in Oct. 1943 as LMS No. 8302. They were withdrawn in Apr. 1965 and Jan. 1966 respectively.
