The second of the two LMS diesels in had joined 10000 for a spell on the Southern Region based at Nine Elms in April 1953 , a month after 10000. Both were rostered on passenger express workings mainly from Waterloo to Bournemouth and Exeter during their time on Southern metals before they went back to Camden in March 1955.
