Note the recess for a tablet catcher, 76030-34 were built with tablet catcher recesses in the cab. However there is no documented or photographic evidence that they were ever fitted with the Whitaker tablet catcher equipment. The cab lining was terminated abruptly at the edge of the recess as shown here. There are no known photos of them working over the MGN although being based at March it remains a possibility!
