Ex-North British Railway Reid 'K' (LNER 'D34') class 4-4-0 No. 9281 'Glen Murran'. Built at Cowlairs in April 1919 as NBR No. 281 and withdrawn in March 1960 as BR No. 62485.

With piles of ash and char littering the foreground, Glasgow's Eastfield MPD is the scene in August 1937 for this portrait of 'Glen Murran'. Behind can be glimpsed classmate No. 9242 'Glen Mamie' whilst a Gresley 'V1' Prairie Tank is on the right. The distinctive NBR's design of star-embellished point lever is also seen.
