NBR D34 4-4-0 No 2489 Glen Dessary on an up slow in c1948. The home signal is very old and unusual - it does not have a spectacle plate nor lamp therefore could not be in use at night. Same location a LNER 2430, there is a small ground frame, could it be Kingskettle?

Alan Dunn says "This indeed looks like Kingskettle area - specifically about a mile south - near where the access for Forthar farm meets the A914.
On the OS 1892-1914 map there are sidings on the up side of the line here and a SP shown just south of them by the underbridge for the minor road across to Freuchie, which would match old maps.
The background also matches with the start of the rise towards East Lomond hill, the farm that can be seen just to the right of the front of the loco on the hillside is Pittillock farm - so this is a down slow service.

There were lime kilns at Forthar farm so the siding was most likely for loading lime processed there and brought by cart to the loading bank seen here.
