LSWR M7 0-4-4T No 30054 with a train passing bridge no 8 with its two lever ground frame at Farringdon Halt in the early 1950s.

30054 is on a north-bound train just pulling away from Farringdon Halt at the top end of the Meon Valley line. You can just make out the southern end of the wooden platform between the rear of the second coach and the telegraph pole. The pull-push set is Set 1 which was first formed in 1937 from an ex-LSWR 56’ non-corridor Brake Composite (which became the driving trailer) and a 58’ Brake Third (utilising an ex-LSWR 48’ vehicle extended to fit onto a standard 58’ underframe).
