Chester No 5 box is in the distance located on the Birkenhead line at the point where the avoiding lines from Chester No 6 joined and controlling the exit from the GWR shed onto that line. The bridge carries the CLC line over the joint LNWR & GWR Wirral route. 6994 is displaying a 89A Shrewsbury shed plate which dates it between March 1963 and June 1964. 3804 was a visitor from Cardiff East Dock and was withdrawn in July 1964.
