Laira shed's 3862 is on the Down Relief, it is unlikely that a Class H freight here would be going anywhere other than Plymouth so she's probably heading towards the down loop for a banker to come on the rear. Aller Junction signal box is just ahead and nearer the approach to the junction at the foot of Dainton . This was a good location for railway photography , and note that the third van has been sheeted over , probably to combat a leaking roof .
