Formerly D8233 and converted to an unpowered carriage heating unit in 1969, initially based at Neville Hill, she moved to work from Haymarket between June and October 1971 mainly for staff training on the then new Mk2d coaching stock, as part of this she even went on tour as part of an exhibition train reaching Dundee, before returning to Haymarket from April to July 1972. She then returned to England to work from various depots before preservation.
